One of the great thrills of my writing life has been getting to know Emerian Rich, the horror hostess with the mostest in charge of HorrorAddicts.net. She answered a call for a fiction anthology I put together for Haunt Jaunts some years back, Shadow People and Cursed Objects: 13 Tales of Terror Based on True Stories…or are they? Her beautifully written story, “Bye, Bye, Blackbird” has haunted me ever since.

Although I should say that even though Emz, as she’s more commonly known, may have been the impetus behind creating HorrorAddicts.net, their motto is “For Horror Addicts, By Horror Addicts.” She definitely has a team of “Addicts” working together to put out their blog, podcast, and anthologies.
I’ve meant to submit to some of their fiction anthologies but never have. (I mean to submit to a lot of things but never do. #StoryofMyLife)
Anyway, it turns out that HorrorAddicts.net is putting out a new non-fiction anthology this year, Horror Addicts Guide to Life 2. It’s due out sometime this summer and a few of my HorrorAddicts.net posts will be included in it! Including one I wrote about Marie Laveau before I knew for sure I was related to her.
Even more exciting are all of the authors who are included in this book. Some are names I’m familiar with, like Loren Rhoads, Mark Orr, Michael Fassbender, and Pamela K. Kinney. Others are new to me who I’m looking forward to getting to know.
