I’m very excited to share the book review Crystal from Why Would You Want to Be Normal When You Could Be Paranormal? wrote about The Ghost of Laurie Floyd.
I got a kick out of the fact she said my descriptions of the law office were so good she felt like she worked there even though she’d never worked in an office before.
My old boss from the law firm (who I based the character Joe Murphy on) also commented on how detailed my office descriptions were. He didn’t say it was good or bad, just that they were particularly descriptive. Something for me to consider in the next book. (Maybe cut back on descriptions so much?)
Anyway, Crystal also apparently didn’t see the ending coming, which I love hearing. (Or I suppose “reading” in this case.)
She also said she’d be willing to read another of my books. That is high praise right there. I didn’t scare her off with this one!
Out of a 10, she gave The Ghost of Laurie Floyd an 8. A very generous 8 that I am most appreciative of.
Mostly I just thought it was so fun someone took the time to write on their blog about my book. Crystal, thank you so much!
I have been awful about following other people’s blogs, but thanks to Facebook I can keep up with some of what Crystal writes a little better thanks to the group she set up. It’s the same name as her blog, but is a closed group. However, Crystal is pretty cool. If you send a request to join, I’m thinking she’d let you in. If you’re paranormal enough…
Here’s the link to her FB group page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/159094620962782/
Also, she’s a writer herself. She’s doing a Christmas book sale of her Kindle titles, which she just launched today. All are on sale for only 99¢!!!

Will God be able to find a suitable Messiah? Will Christian metal be as terrible as it sounds, or will Jesus take the music business by storm? Will Satan and Angel’s relationship survive Angel’s betrayal? You’ll find answers to these questions and more (How did Judas end up with a courtroom TV show?) in Never Trust an Angel and Other Plays.

Paranormal Jokes and Haiku explores the lighter side of the paranormal…you won’t get scared reading these poems and corny jokes about ghosts, aliens, Bigfoot, and other creatures of the unknown! The book contains 49 haiku and 26 groan-inducing jokes from paranormal blogger Crystal Smith-Connelly (of the blog Why would you want to be normal when you could be paranormal?).
Why do they call him
Bigfoot? Are they trying to
Make him self-conscious?What is a ghost’s favorite instrument?
The boo-kulele
I haven’t read any of them yet, but I love the descriptions and her sense of humor. I’m thinking they would be fun reads.
If any pique your interest, now’s the time to nab them. I did mention she’s marked them down to 99¢ for Christmas right?
