I may be dating myself a bit by wondering whatever happened to Kermit the Frog and the Pink Panther, but that’s okay. I am a child of the Seventies and Eighties after all. No shame in that. Kermit and the Pink Panther were a big part of my formative years.
Until now, I never really wondered what happened to them, though. I grew up. My pop culture interests changed and evolved.
Basically, I moved on.
I figured they did too.
Well, maybe they didn’t move on necessarily. I assumed they would always just be a part of my happier childhood memories.
Well guess what? They did move on. They, too, evolved and changed. And in not such happy ways.
It appears life in the limelight took a toll on the Muppet and his plush pal.
They both developed drinking problems.
But, as the saying goes, misery loves company. Here they are living it up (if you can call it that?) together:
It appears Kermit also developed a bit of an eating problem.
But never fear. Their story has a happy ending.
They knew they needed to make changes. They figured a change of scenery might help:
It worked!
Kermit found his joy again:
